BIOGRAPHY
Dom Carmelo is a multi-instrumentalist, performer, composer, and producer, celebrated for his versatility across genres and media.
Born in the UK in 1995 to a Maltese father and English mother, Dom began playing guitar at 10 and performing publicly at 14. He graduated in 2016 from the London Centre of Contemporary Music with a BA (Hons) in performance, production, composition, arranging, and music theory.
After graduation, Dom became a sought-after session guitarist and performer in London, collaborating with artists such as Shola Ama, GreenTea Peng, Nat Powers, SlicVic, Nectar Woode, Jords, Kadeem Tyrell, Iyamah, Azekel, Rebecca Garton, Richie (Kokoroko), Cara Hammond, Natalie May, Bina, Intalek, and Hugo Mari.
In 2022, he moved to Malta, performing with leading local musicians including Gaia Cauchi, Sean Kamati, Kurt Calleja, Sarah Bonnici, Aidan Cassar, Kevin Paul, Kersten Graham, The Alchemists, The Palace String Orchestra, and The Musea Orchestra.
Dom has played on major stages and festivals in London and Malta, from Ronnie Scott’s and Boisdale to Boomtown Festival, Pennfest, Notte Bianca, Farsons Festival, Delicata Wine Fest, and Eurovision.
In 2024, he expanded into film composition, creating the scores for Ciao Ciao and Serena, marking a new chapter in his creative career.
Dom continues to perform both solo and with ensembles across the UK and Europe while preparing his debut solo LP, synthesizing his experience as a performer, arranger, and producer.
